Book Review on Be Careful What You Joust For by Ryan Hauge and Ivy Smoak

Do you love to read or watch movies on knights, ladies, and tournaments? If so, you will enjoy this book by Ryan Hauge and Ivy Smoak, Be Careful What You Joust For (Pentavia Book 1). It was published on April 17th of 2018 and sold by Amazon Digital Services LLC. This book includes genres like science fiction, fantasy, and epic.
Ryan Hauge and his wife, Ivy Smoak lives in Wilmington Delaware, where they do everything together. They wrote this book together. Ryan gets his inspiration from the video games he played growing up and from his toy business.
This book is easy to follow and understand. The one thing that this book is and that is unpredictable and full of surprises. It keeps you on your toes. What I love is that each character has their own chapters throughout the book. So you know who the chapter is about.
Knights from all over come to compete in a jousting tournament to win Arwin's Lance. Whoever wins this lance, can either keep the peace or start a war. For the House of Hornbolt, which is hosting the tournament, this is where the elder son is expected to win, the second son will become a priest and the daughter will marry the most eligible man. What happens when the second son wants to be a knight instead of a priest and the daughter loves a thief? Then you add another mystery and that is who killed the late king?

I would recommend this book to any reader who loves to read about ancient times, knights, jousting, tournaments, drama, suspense, and fantasy. This is a book that captivates from the first moment you start to read and doesn't let go until the end.
According to wikipedia.org, "Jousting is a martial game or hastilude between two horseman wielding lances with blunted tips, often as part of a tournament. Jousting is based on the military use of the lance by heavy cavalry" (en.m.wikipedia.org).
